Red-figure vase painting is one of the most important styles of figural Greek vase painting. It developed in Athens around 530 BC and remained in use until the late 3rd century BC. Its modern name is based on the figural depictions in red colour on a black background. The pottery process follows the technique and style used by the ancients and every object is individually hand thrown terracotta, hand-shaped, and hand-painted in detail in Greece and signed by an artist skilled in the art of ancient Greek pottery making.
